INTEGRATED SAFETY FEATURES

Hougen safety features are standard equipment on all Hougen magnetic drills:

• Each drill is packed with a safety chain or strap.
• A 2 stage circuit requires the magnet to be turned on prior to starting the motor which prevents accidental motor starts.
• Integrated safety LED indicator that tells when a lift detector is engaged.

A Rotabroach can multiply your cutting speed by up to 3 times from traditional tooling. You get longer tool life, a more accurate hole, a better finish, with no burrs.

Rotabroach cutters maximize feed rates because up to 10 cutting edges distribute the cutting load evenly.

STACK-CUT GEOMETRY

Rotabroach Annular Cutters with a Stack-Cut tooth geometry must be used whenever two or more plates are being drilled simultaneously – often in a single pass.

Hougen’s Technical Service Department should be contacted whenever special tooth geometry and applications will be necessary.

Made of hardened, high speed tool steel and precision ground, cutters feature a 3/4″ diameter double-flatted shank for use on all Hougen Mag Drill Models except HMD111, HMD115, HMD151, & HMD150 (Models HMD915 and HMD916 require adapter #02386) and are available in 1, 2, and 3″ D.O.C. Plus, modified end tooth geometry for stacked plate drilling is available.

Rotabroach Cutters are resharpenable using the Model 10950 Sharpening Machine.

Rotabroachcutters made of M42 HSS with TIN Coating increase tool life, reduce friction, & operate at cooler temperatures. For materials up to 359 BHN or gummy materials.

Rotabroach12,000-Series Cutters fit all Hougen Mag Drills except HMD111, HMD115, HMD151, and HMD150.

Rotaloc Annular Cutters are designed for use with the Hougen HMD111 Ultra-Low Profile Truck Frame Drill, and Rotaloc Plus Annular Cutters are designed for the Hougen HMD151. They feature an easy shank mounting for fast change out, with no tools required to install in the drill’s arbor. For optimum cutter tool life and cutter efficiency use Hougen Slick-Stik Lubricant.
